The visit turned into a memorable experience for our students as they explored the lively career fair and took part in various activities throughout the day. From discovering different industries to meeting employers and learning about available opportunities, the students were able to experience the world of work in an engaging and enjoyable environment. Beyond career exploration, the event also encouraged our students to step outside their comfort zones, communicate confidently and gain a clearer picture of life after their studies. It was a valuable opportunity for them to learn, connect and enjoy the experience together while taking an important step towards their future careers.

Tropicana Academy students enjoyed an exciting and enriching visit to Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL 2026, held at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, from 21 to 23 July 2026. The event brought together food and beverage exhibitors, culinary professionals, innovators and industry experts from Malaysia and around the world. During their visit, students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of food beverage displays, observe creative culinary presentations, discover new products and witness food preparation demonstrations. They also experienced the vibrant atmosphere of culinary competitions, including the 5th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia, as well as chocolate and coffee showcases. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the world of food, hospitality and culinary arts beyond the classroom. It was an engaging experience that encouraged students to explore new ideas, appreciate creativity in food presentation and gain a better understanding of the skills and innovation involved in the food and beverage industry.

Learning does not always take place inside classroom. For our Tropicana Academy students, it recently took them to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) for an exciting and inspiring visit to the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB). MIFB brought together food and beverage businesses, industry professionals, brands and exhibitors from Malaysia and around the world, creating a vibrant environment for our students to explore the latest products, ideas and trends shaping the industry. A Taste of the Industry Throughout the visit, our students had the opportunity to walk through the exhibition halls and discover an impressive variety of food and beverage products. From colourful traditional delicacies and innovative food products to coffee, matcha and other contemporary beverages, there was something new to discover at every booth. The students enjoyed seeing how food products are presented, packaged and marketed, while also learning about the different ingredients and concepts behind the products. They were able to observe demonstrations, sample selected products and engage with exhibitors to gain a better understanding of the industry. Learning Beyond the Classroom One of the most valuable aspects of the visit was the opportunity for students to interact with people working within the food and beverage sector. Speaking with exhibitors and observing businesses in a professional trade environment gave students a glimpse into the many career and business opportunities available within this dynamic industry. The visit also encouraged students to develop important skills such as communication, confidence, curiosity and teamwork. Moving through the busy exhibition halls, asking questions and sharing their observations turned the experience into a meaningful learning opportunity.  From discovering international food products to exploring coffee and beverage innovations, the students experienced first-hand how creativity, culture and business come together in the food and beverage industry. Inspiring Future Possibilities  At Tropicana Academy, we believe that education should extend beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms. Real-world experiences allow students to connect their learning with the world around them, broaden their perspectives and discover new areas of interest. Our visit to MIFB was not only an enjoyable experience but also an opportunity for our students to explore, learn and be inspired.
