About Tropicana Academy

Tropicana Academy Sdn.Bhd. (TASB) Wholly owns the training arms of Media Culinary Arts & Hospitality Academy (MCAHA) and TASB Training Centre, both of which are registered and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

TASB is currently in collaboration with Colleges and Universities in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth in Australia, as well as New York in America, offering training programmes in Culinary skills, Patisserie, Hospitality, Mental Health and Elderly care, Disability studies, and other skill-based courses.  All our Diploma programmes provide a direct pathway to Tertiary and Post-Graduate qualifications at our partner Universities in Australia, as well as in New York.

Our vision is to groom a skilled workforce for industries that complement our multifaceted communities through affordable training and education, and to foster lifelong learning opportunities across all sectors of society.

TASB facilitates the academic transfer of internationally recognized qualifications through our partner institutions globally.  Its main function is to facilitate the efficiency of quality assurance and to maintain the highest standard of training by our partner colleges outside of Australia. The certifications are specially designed to help every sector of the hospitality and healthcare with a recognition and skill development that could provide the individuals with an opportunity for a brighter future. TASB programs are very much affordable, and flexible for the students to decide how they wish to pursue their education and training and work their way in attaining the highest qualification possible.

In celebration of International Chef's Day, Tropicana Academy orchestrated a mesmerizing Gala Dinner on the 26th of September, 2023. This grand event was held at the Ballroom of Media Hotel. The Gala Dinner was graced by renowned celebrity chefs and distinguished VVIPs from the hospitality industry, hailing from Malaysia, Australia, and China. Attendees had the privilege of mingling with these luminaries, gaining insights into their culinary journeys and savoring their extraordinary creations.What made the Gala Dinner even more special was the active involvement of Tropicana Academy's culinary students. These aspiring chefs-to-be played an integral role in meal preparation and cooking. Event – Graduation ceremony for Penjana HRDF INITIATIVE Training Program on Certificate 1 in Culinary Skills Training provided jointly by Media Hotel, Tropicana Academy (Formerly known as Media Academy) and International Professional Chefs Academy (IPCA).The graduation ceremony was graced by Minister of Human Resource YB Datuk Seri M Saravanan, SOCSO Chief Executive Dato’ Sri Dr Mohammed Azman Bin Dato’ Aziz Mohammed, Chief Executive of HRD Corp Datuk Shahul Dawood, Petronas FoodLab Senior Executives,  TCS or TATA Consultancy Service, President Ambassador Liaison Asia & Director of Tropicana Academy Chef KK Yau, representing the World Association of Chefs Societies, and other Distinguished guests.36 trainees were successfully graduated in Certificate 1 Culinary Skills Training.
